A fighter's team affiliation is logged the way results and titles are, a plain line of the public record rather than a matter of opinion. That record is the subject here, and only that record. Brandon Moreno's team history lists Entram Gym from 2006 to 2022, then Bang Muay Thai, Team Elevation and Glory MMA in 2022, and then Fortis MMA. As of July 2026, the current team on that record is Fortis MMA.

The Tijuana years

Entram Gym was founded in 2006 in Tijuana by Raúl Arvizu. Arvizu is a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt under Dean Lister, a lineage that gave the room a defined grappling standard from the start. Moreno came into that room as a child: he entered Entram's kids program at 13. The span recorded on his team history runs from the gym's founding year to 2022, the first and longest entry on the sheet.

Reading the record in order matters, because it fixes when the departure actually happened, and it did not happen until the end of a sixteen-year association. Everything Moreno is best known for is stamped inside the Entram window, not after it.

A title, inside the Tijuana window

One result from that period is dated and specific. At UFC 263 in June 2021, Moreno submitted Deiveson Figueiredo to become the first Mexico-born UFC champion. The pull that kept his name

The move did not empty the room he left. By early 2022, Entram reported more than fifty fighters from across South America training there, a wave the Spanish-language press framed as the "efecto Brandon Moreno," the Brandon Moreno effect. The gym's draw, in other words, was still being measured against the fighter whose rise gave the wave its name, even as his own team line was moving off the sheet.

That is a useful corrective to the tidy version of a departure story, in which a fighter leaves and the room goes quiet. Here the record shows the opposite: the affiliation ended on paper while the pull the fighter created was still filling the mats.
